PACT Magazine

+ Art Direction

+ Social media campaigning

What makes a wedding "traditional" in the year 2023? When culture, experience and personal expression blend together how do you make your wedding not just special but true to you and your partner?

PACT challenges the idea of a wedding. This stunning 100+ page magazine shares the real-life weddings of people who want to challenge the expected, and how we represent long-lasting love. As well as articles on the history of wedding symbolism and modern ideals about matrimony.

We worked closely to develop a name, art direction and social strategy to launch PACT in its first issue. We decided to capture the feeling of a wedding day, the tactile details that feel hyper-present on that one day.

We broke away from images of smiling brides and typical grooms, instead championing the B-roll of a wedding shoot. We also developed a type and color style that could flit between bright, expressive, and calm and peaceful.

Our layouts for the publication felt closer to a scrapbook rather than a photo album, we used irregular layouts to convey a theme of a wedding than standardizing the layout.
